VIOLENCE

Drugs and media are the two most significant factors contributing to violence in North American society. People use drugs, it's a fact, and the government will not allow many drugs. So who is going to sell these illegal drugs? Gangs and organized crime are the base of violence and drugs. With these organized gangs selling drugs, the massive amounts of money is their fuel for violence and becomming the largest gang possible. With all these people addicted to various drugs, they will be willing to break into houses, cars or rob people to get enough money for their "fix". The gangs are in a constant "turf" battle, killing opposing gang members and sometimes innocent bystanders that are in their area.

The media does not help to surpress the crime in North America. The media is the fuel to the violent fire. A great majority of the news reports are about violence, because our society has become accustomed to seeing brutal murders. We do not want to see acts of good, we want to hear about how a family of 9 people that got murderd by a man dressed in a santa suit on christmass day.

Drugs and the media are the greatest contributers to a violent North American society.

Of mice and men is a heartwarming story of two friends, one who is handicapped and the other takes care of him while they travel together, in hopes to get enough money to buy their dream farm during the depression. But that’s about where the good part of the story ends. This movie is good as a book but as a movie it may have been good when it came out, but its acting and effects are all outdated. Lennie’s character was over exaggerated and annoys you more than it adds effect to his character. The only character that fit its part was Slim, he is a tall and respected man, just as he should be portrayed. The movie did not have any sort of flow, this was like taking an axe to a beautiful fillet minion steak, it has the potential to be a great thing but it just gets ruined by is lack of creativity.
